Why Go Solar?

There are endless benefits from making the switch from buying your energy, to creating your own with solar panels. Having solar power can increase your home value. According to CNBC (2019), the top 10 states for improving property value are:

  • New Jersey: 9.9% increase
  • Pennsylvania: 4.9% increase
  • Louisiana 4.9% increase
  • North Carolina: 4.8% increase
  • Washington: 4.1% increase
  • Florida: 4% increase
  • Hawaii: 4% increase
  • Maryland: 3.8% increase
  • New York: 3.6% increase
  • South Carolina: 3.5% increase

With solar energy, you are doing your part to keep C02 out of our atmosphere. Using renewable, or clean energy, sources is great for the environment and great for your wallet. While the investment could seem overwhelming, the fact of the matter is that solar energy pays off, and your return on investment can happen quickly. On average, solar users save $100 a month, and up to $200 in the sunnier states.

For further benefits, each state has their own solar incentives to help customers make the switch. Find out about what your state offers for solar incentives today.

QCell Residential Solar Power Information

Qcell is one of the top solar panel companies in the United States for residential. With over 27% of the market share, QCells is doing something right. The modules are German engineered. Their patented technology is called “Quantum Cells.” This is a spin-off of Passivated Emitter Rear Cell, commonly referred to as PERC. This allows for passivation of a solar cells rear side, installing a reflective layer under the panel. This way,  it captures previously unused sunlight back into the cell. This way, it converts into solar energy. This supercharges the cell and modules.

To achieve this, QCell puts a nano coating  to the rear surface of the cell. It functions like a mirror. When rays come through the silicone cell, they reflect back onto the panel, and are then absorbed for a second time. All of the top solar manufacturers use this methodology, but in their own different and patented ways.

Other advantages to QCell designed solar panels are the patented half cell technology. Companies other than QCell and Panasonic use a 60 cell solar panel. This means 60 squares of silicone. Meanwhile, QCell cut the cells in half to create a 120 cell solar panel. From there, they increased the amount of busbars that are used to allow electricity to flow from the industry standard of four, to six strands. This combination of the half cell and six busbar design results in a higher output of energy with greater efficiency.

These high performances are under all weather conditions. Summer, winter, clear or cloudy skies, the solar panels achieve highest efficiencies while still creating mass production. They currently hold world record of 19.5% efficiency.

Weather Conditions with QCell Panels

The Qcell solar panels are resilient to snow, wind, hail and even fire. The innovative all weather technology provides optimal yields. While the solar panels work well with those inclement weather conditions, it is still important for you to maintain the panels and keep them clean of the snow or debris that could be on the panels. Without that proper maintenance, your panels are not able to soak in all the sunlight that they ordinarily can.

High Performance Endurance and Maintenance

When purchasing Qcell modules, you’re covered with a 12 year product warranty and a 25 year linear performance warranty. The linear warranty ensures that your modules produce at least 97% of minimal rated power output in the first year, following a maximum reduction of 0.6% a year, per year. Therefore, the guaranteed minimum output after 25 years is at 83% to be covered by warranty.
